ABOUT ME
Grew up in Fruit Heights, Utah and enjoyed swimming competitively for seven years. Following her high school graduation in 2012, she came to Southern Utah University, as an accounting major. After three semesters, Mallory went on a mission for the LDS church. She served in the Mexico, Guadalajara Mission and loved the culture and people. Since serving, she has returned once to visit and once on a study abroad trip. Mallory will graduate from Southern Utah University with her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in April 2017. She will continue her dreams of becoming a CPA by starting the Master's of Accountancy during Fall of 2017, completing it the spring of 2018.
Volunteering for SUU’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) has been an enriching experience in my life. I choose to do VITA as my EDGE project because I wanted more accounting experience. I declared a different project a year ago, but I didn’t end up having time or the motivation to do it. I really enjoyed participating in VITA last year and I think it will be a boost for my resume so I can get a job in the coming year. This being the second year I have participated in VITA I have felt more experienced and better able to answer peoples questions that arise about filing income taxes.
